A B O U T
Frantic was the directorial debut of Jackson M Phoenix, devised in collaboration with Barney White. It was voted audience favourite at Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (2014) and went on to tour worldwide until its final performances in Taoyuan Land Art Festival (Taiwan) in 2019. Created at a time when Acrojou was growing fast and running well over capacity, the show explored themes of busyness, overwhelm and presence through acrobatic-dance and visual design. |

"One of the finest short dance pieces I have seen for some time… an intensely moving experience.”
Richard Ings - Arts Council England
"May I congratulate you on an excellent piece of theatre. It captured the heart of my whole family and we too had to watch it twice. I have been recommending it to others as a ‘must see’, downloaded the soundtrack from YouTube and am altogether hooked.
The two performers develop an exquisite relationship between them with tremendous emotional reach."
Sally Manser - Royal Opera House
"I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful show 'Frantic' is.
I saw my life in the performance and it made me cry.
It also made me resolve to make changes. So poignant and moving. Thank you."
Mandy Blair (audience member)
"I have just witnessed your performance... It was so moving and beautiful I was almost in tears.
Your presentation was a joy, so balletic, gentle, meaningful, speaking of the human condition. Thank you."
Jeremy Haywood (audience member)
