Acrojou (2006 - 2023) was a visual theatre and circus company whose artistic and philosophical mission was to explore key questions of existence through the meeting point of bodies, structures and materials.
Acrojou’s shows toured prolifically and were seen by hundreds of thousands of people in Australia, Beirut, Belgium, Dubai, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan and the UK.
Their flagship show, The Wheel House, toured worldwide for 12 years, representing British innovation and culture (Visit Britain, Kent Cultural Strategy, The British Council) and reached audiences of over 200k.
Photographs of Acrojou’s work can be found in ’Handbook of The Unknowable' (Meta:Morph, Trondheim International Biennale for Art and Technology publication), 'Mobitecture: Architecture on the Move' (Phaidon), and 'The Machine Anxieties of Steampunk: Contemporary Philosophy, Neo-Victorian Aesthetics and the Future' (Bloomsbury Visual).
In online and print media, Acrojou’s work has been MSN’s picture of the day, the Flickr homepage, and featured on more than 300 other platforms (online and print) in over 30 languages.
