Wake is by Acrojou: Jeni Barnard and Barney White
Cast and Creative Team
Acrojou - Jeni Barnard & Barney White
Acrojou formed in 2006 with a Trafalgar Square Festival commission (Dir. John Paul Zaccarini). This was followed by Nationwide and International performances, a Without Walls commission (Dir. Flick Ferdinando), and UK and International Residencies. Acrojou are the UK's leading German Wheel acrobats.
Initially focusing on Visual Art and Theatre, Jeni was drawn to circus as a bridge between the two, a tool enabling greater visual innovation within a performance context. Her work includes choreography, design (performance, prop and graphic), prop creation and performance. Barney began training at a young age, studying Art and Martial Arts and has since gained a professional level in contemporary dance, acrobatics, and physical theatre.
Creating original, designed performance on the kinetic canvas that circus provides, we endeavor to produce work with emotional integrity, bridging the gap between Visual Art and Physical Performance.
