“Barney is a unique performer who combines strength and vibrancy
with an active and creative imagination”
Mitch Mitchelson, The Circus Space
Barney's work is born primarily from a fascination with movement.
In identifying with dynamic physicality as a universal mode of expression, Barney considers his physical development as a form of Kinesics, an ongoing and explorative journey into the communicative possibilities of corporeal performance.
Barney White started physical training the age of 15 and has since studied Ninpo Taijutsu with the Genbukan Ninpo Bugei, contemporary dance, acrobatics, physical theatre, music, and circus, graduating from The Circus Space, London, in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Circus Arts.
